Dree Hemingway for VOGUE UK November 2010

I'm absolutely obsessed with Dree and these photos shot Idaho. I'm from Colorado and it reminds me of my hometown and family. The mountains and foothills are rough, unglamorous and completely breathtaking. Looking at it makes me miss the smell of horses and  fresh air, but thankful I go home to a place so beautiful when New York has drained me.

Army Green Anorak

It's that time of year when the seasons are changing and all I can think about is what I need in my fall/winter "closet." (I say "closet" because my lovely pre-war East Village apartment unfortunately does not come with a closet and what I have containing my clothes is more of a lean-to situation) Anyways,  I am in desperate need of the very trendy, green, fur-trimmed anorak. I've seen it in many variations and I love it for the pop of color it adds during months when all I want to wear is black and the cozy fur trim.

I Want Lanvin Too

I'm really loving the Lanvin for H&M collection right now. In my opinion it's one of the best collaborations yet and is going to fly off shelves quicker anything H&M has ever seen. I originally thought it was going to be available on November 23rd but I just read that in select stores it will be available on November 20th. This is exciting news for me I'm scheduled to leave for Colorado, far from any H&M, early on the 23rd. I think my go-to pieces will be the faux fur coat and the large red necklace and earrings. I'm not much of a fighter but I'm preparing myself to get scrappy!

Fall Time

I absolutely love fall and all that comes with it. While most are sad and depressed to see the last days of summer, I feel happy and optimistic. The warm weather tends to make me moody and annoyed after what feels like months of sweltering heat in New York. I also like to layer, I grew up in Texas so this was something I was never able to do and once I moved to Colorado (for college) I realized how nice it is. The holidays make me feel like I have something to look forward to, the food is extra hearty and yummy and I get to vacation more than normal in the fall months. All in all, fall is wonderful and I'm glad my blog can catch the tail end of it.

I've Missed You

Well, it happened again... I got busy, missed a few posts and then abandoned my blog for months. We are now in a new season that has brought new people, new clothes and new dreams. Even though I know no one reads my blog (yet), I promise I am going to try and update it because I enjoy sharing things that make me happy.
